MakeART!!!

If you had have told my 5th grade teacher Mrs. Hanlon I would become an artist, she would probably not believe you. After all, who drew proportions accurately? Certainly not me. The horse I drew for my book report was entirely disproportionate. But, the hunger to express myself lived inside me deeply. For some reason I found myself moved by art early on. Concurrently I had been ashamed of my limitations when it came to where things are “supposed to be.” Today, I know better. I know that just as musicians have different vocal ranges, so do visual artists. I know what “key” I sing in as an artist. I urge you to discover yours. When you do find it, sing LOUDLY. This is your song.
